The Ravens<\/a> are resetting the organization after firing coach John Harbaugh following 18 years on the job and one Super Bowl win. Harbaugh has taken his talent to New York and the Giants<\/a> while the job he departs is considered the best, thanks to Lamar Jackson and elite offensive playmakers.<\/p>\n

We’ve previously listed\u00a0ten candidates <\/a>that came to mind immediately.<\/a> They included Brian Flores and Jesse Minter.<\/p>\n

Baltimore initially requested an interview with former pass rusher and current Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver, and after an initial meeting last Monday, he’ll have a second interview in the coming days with the Ravens<\/a> and the Steelers.<\/p>\n

The Mike McDonald loss two years ago wasn’t the only significant defection in Baltimore, as Weaver took his talents to Miami<\/a>\u00a0for a shot at being a defensive coordinator. Weaver played seven seasons in the NFL as a defensive end for the Ravens<\/a> (2002-2005) and\u00a0Houston Texans<\/a>\u00a0(2006-2008) after being a second-round pick out of Notre Dame.<\/p>\n

Weaver broke into the NFL coaching ranks as an assistant linebacker coach for the\u00a0New York Jets<\/a>\u00a0in 2012.<\/p>\n

Weaver was the team’s defensive line coach<\/a> and run game coordinator in 2021, then served as the assistant head coach and defensive line coach from 2022-23 before departing for Miami.<\/p>\n
