To begin with, the Bills offered a bland statement<\/a> on behalf of Owner Terry Pegula, and just five words into the lengthy dissertation, a grammatical error appeared: the word \u201cadmiral\u201d was used instead of admirable. The team did not repost the statement.<\/p>\n For a comparison to all of this, look no further than the Baltimore Ravens, who, after firing Head Coach John Harbaugh, posted Harbaugh\u2019s statement directly through the\u00a0team’s\u00a0X account<\/a> and followed it up with a post that thanked him for his 18 years of service to the organization.<\/p>\n Thank you, Coach Harbaugh, for 18 tremendous years. pic.twitter.com\/BB7dPHihIK<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) January 6, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n The way the Bills handled this whole thing is baffling, and that isn\u2019t to mention the fact that, through it all, General Manager Brandon Beane somehow got a promotion<\/a>.<\/p>\n We will see if there are additional plans to honor McDermott in the coming days.
