For a third time in this cycle, the Tennessee Titans<\/a> missed out on a coaching candidate the day before a scheduled interview.<\/p>\n

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reports that the Miami Dolphins<\/a> are hiring former Green Bay Packers<\/a> defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley to be their next head coach, making the move just hours before he was scheduled to meet with Mike Borgonzi for a second time in Nashville.<\/p>\n

A long-time Greg Schiano disciple, Hafley has spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>, Cleveland Browns<\/a>, San Francisco 49ers, and Green Bay Packers during his time in the NFL, and would be a first-time NFL head coach.<\/p>\n

Now that Hafley is off the board, it will be interesting to see if the Titans make a move with Mike McCarthy, Matt Nagy, or Robert Saleh, or decide to reach out to former Buffalo Bills<\/a> head coach Sean McDermott, who was surprisingly fired on Monday.<\/p>\n
