While team success was evasive (the Saints went 1-7 in his starts), Rattler showed promise and ability during the stretch <a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" style=\"word-break: break-word\" href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleanssaints.com\/news\/tyler-shough-rookie-quarterback-new-orleans-saints-definitive-in-change-kellen-moore-2025-nfl-week-9-los-angeles-rams\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"New Orleans Saints definitive in change to rookie Tyler Shough at quarterback\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">before being replaced<\/a> by <a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" style=\"word-break: break-word\" href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleanssaints.com\/team\/players-roster\/tyler-shough\/\" title=\"Tyler Shough\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Shough<\/a>. New Orleans suffered three one-score losses as Rattler completed 174 of 257 passes for 1,586 yards and eight touchdowns, with five interceptions, and ran for 167 yards on 31 carries.<\/p>\n<p>\n  BEST GAME OF SPENCER RATTLER&#8217;S 2025 SEASON<\/p>\n<p>In <a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" style=\"word-break: break-word\" href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleanssaints.com\/news\/2025-nfl-week-5-new-york-giants-vs-new-orleans-saints-game-recap\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.neworleanssaints.com\/news\/2025-nfl-week-5-new-york-giants-vs-new-orleans-saints-game-recap\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the Saints\u2019 26-14 victory over the Giants on Oct. 5<\/a> in the Caesars Superdome, Rattler completed 21 of 31 passes for 225 yards. But it was his touchdown throw \u2013 an 87-yarder to Rashid Shaheed \u2013 that created the buzz.
