The New York Giants \u2014 pardon me, the New York FOOTBALL Giants \u2014 officially introduced new head coach John Harbaugh and held his introductory press conference Tuesday at noon.<\/p>\n
It was a packed house for the new head coach\u2019s debut, full of media, Giants\u2019 executives, and players.<\/p>\n
The Giants were clearly expecting a big crowd for the veteran coach\u2019s debut, and they were certainly right.<\/p>\n
If people were expecting the 63-year old, 18-year veteran, to be a reserved \u201celder statesman\u201d type of presence at the podium, they were in for a shock. The best word to describe Harbaugh\u2019s demeanor at the podium is probably \u201cenergetic\u201d, or perhaps \u201cenergized\u201d. He was certainly some combination of excited, exuberant, and energetic as he spoke to the assembled crowd.<\/p>\n
He used the phrase \u201can enthusiasm unknown to mankind\u201d several times, and he certainly seemed to embody the mantra.<\/p>\n
It was hard not to think of Jaxson Dart, the Giants\u2019 charismatic young quarterback, as Harbaugh talked about enthusiasm and love of the game.<\/p>\n
We don\u2019t know what the future holds for the Giants, but it\u2019s certainly seems brighter than it did two weeks ago. Perhaps it\u2019s just that Harbaugh\u2019s energy and enthusiasm are infectious, but if so, the locker room and front office will be getting the full dose.<\/p>\n
