Trevon Diggs\u2019<\/a> stint in Green Bay didn\u2019t last long. <\/p>\n

Less than a month after claiming Diggs off waivers<\/a>, the Green Bay Packers announced his release on Tuesday<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Diggs appeared in two games with the Packers, including their season-ending wild card loss to the Chicago Bears on Jan. 10<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys waived Diggs on Dec. 30<\/a> as a result of several things that occurred during the 2025 season, ranging from performance to off-the-field issues, such as being a continuous repeat offender on rules violations from meetings to rehab work, two people with knowledge of the move confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.<\/p>\n

In one example, Diggs didn\u2019t fly back to Texas with the Cowboys after the Christmas Day game against the Commanders in Landover, Md., a person with knowledge of the incident told The News. He was the only player not to fly back with the team.<\/p>\n

Diggs appeared in eight games with the Cowboys this season in what was a tumultuous few months for the former All-Pro. Diggs missed two months with knee soreness\/swelling and a concussion<\/a> he suffered at his home.<\/p>\n

After undergoing knee surgery in the offseason, the Cowboys deducted $500,000 from Diggs\u2019 base salary because he did not do enough of his contractually required rehab work with the team\u2019s athletic staff over the summer.<\/p>\n

Diggs, the Cowboys\u2019 second-round pick out of Alabama in the 2020 NFL draft<\/a>, finished his time in Dallas with 20 career interceptions. He was not credited with a pass breakup or interception this season with Dallas.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys signed Diggs to a five-year, $97 million extension in 2023<\/a>. After signing the deal, he played in 21 games and had three interceptions for the Cowboys.<\/p>\n
