Of all the Indianapolis Colts’<\/a> players, which one would you select as the team’s most underrated impactful presence?<\/p>\n

Zach Tantillo of Pro Football Focus<\/a> recently made his selection to this question for each NFL team. When it came to the Colts<\/a>, Tantillo selected center Tanor Bortolini.<\/p>\n

According to PFF’s data, the Colts had one of the best offensive line units<\/a> in football this season, and flying under the radar in the middle was Bortolini.<\/p>\n

He posted an 82.6 PFF overall grade, ranking third among all centers, while allowing just 17 pressures and zero sacks,” Tantillo wrote.<\/p>\n

In his second NFL season, Bortolini took over as the\u00a0Colts<\/a>‘ starting center. And as mentioned, over 566 pass-blocking snaps, he did not allow a single sack.<\/p>\n

Among all centers, he ranked 16th in pass-blocking efficiency and third in\u00a0PFF’s run-blocking<\/a>\u00a0grade.<\/p>\n

Not to be lost either, when discussing the center position is all the work that comes pre-snap with setting protections and communicating adjustments based on what the defense is showing.<\/p>\n
