The Buffalo Bills<\/a> franchise, over the past seven or so years, has been a steady and reliable franchise.<\/p>\n

Well, that’s been blown up.<\/p>\n

Head coach Sean McDermott has been fired, and somewhat oddly, general manager Brandon Beane has been promoted.<\/p>\n

Both have been tied at the hip since Josh Allen came into the league, and Beane, after only drafting two Pro Bowl players since Allen was drafted, somehow gets a promotion.<\/p>\n

We have seen Bills players voice their displeasure over the McDermott firing, and with Beane now taking full control over the football department, that is baffling.<\/p>\n

And it is here where things have the potential to go sideways in a big way for Buffalo.<\/p>\n

Could Bills franchise fracture over McDermott firing?<\/p>\n

Absolutely, it could. But it’s unlikely.<\/p>\n

With players unhappy with the move, that isn’t out of the ordinary. But a general manager is getting a promotion after essentially failing to address the receiver position for years.<\/p>\n

Beane even bit back at radio hosts last offseason for suggesting it.<\/p>\n

Plus, his draft history isn’t exactly good either, with just two Pro Bowl players.<\/p>\n

Yet McDermott was the one who lost his job, while Beane got promoted. It doesn’t make sense.<\/p>\n

And if it doesn’t make sense to me, it sure won’t to the locker room, and that is where things can go south in a hurry.<\/p>\n

This once stable organization has been thrown into chaos.<\/p>\n
