The Bills<\/a> made a big change on Monday after losing to the Denver Broncos<\/a> in the AFC divisional round on Saturday. Buffalo parted with head coach Sean McDermott<\/a> after nine seasons. <\/p>\n McDermott not being back in Buffalo might not be the only big-time move the Bills make this offseason. Buffalo has to get better on both sides of the ball, adding lower-level free agents, and rookies aren\u2019t going to get the job done.<\/p>\n The Bills Could be a Team to Watch For A.J. Brown<\/p>\n The Bills need to go after and make a bold move for top-tier playmakers, especially at wide receiver. Quarterback Josh Allen<\/a> has to find a go-to wide receiver as he did with Stefon Diggs<\/a> from 2020 to 2023. <\/p>\n Almost every offseason, a standout wide receiver gets traded, and this season, it looks like Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> star A.J. Brown<\/a> could be on the move.<\/p>\n If the Eagles decide to trade Brown, he could be an excellent fit for the Bills. ESPN\u2019s Jeremy Fowler recently spoke with NFL executives about potential bold moves this offseason<\/a>, and some believe Buffalo might pursue Brown in a trade.<\/p>\n \u201cBrown\u2019s happy-to-be-here quotient in Philly is miserably low,\u201d Fowler wrote on Tuesday. \u201cHe\u2019s a great player and great players are hard to replace. But the Eagles have never been scared to make a move due to the salary cap implications. The Eagles actually can save $7 million on the cap by trading Brown after June 1. And it feels like it\u2019s time. Some league execs have felt that way since October.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Bills have to upgrade there \u2014 their best receiver is\u00a0Khalil Shakir<\/a>, who is a nice player but he\u2019s not a top guy,\u201d an NFL<\/a> personnel evaluator said. \u201cBrown is an immediate upgrade and he\u2019s still young [turning 29 in June]. And the Eagles can build the passing game around\u00a0DeVonta Smith and a high draft pick.\u201d<\/p>\n Buffalo Could Lose Brown to the Patriots<\/p>\n Brown has played for the Eagles over the past four seasons, accumulating 78 receptions, 1,003 yards, and seven touchdowns across 15 games this season, bringing his career totals to 524 receptions for 8,209 yards and 56 scores. He played a crucial role in the Eagles\u2019 Super Bowl victory against the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> last year. However, this season he has felt somewhat sidelined in the offense, which may prompt the Eagles to consider trading him soon.<\/p>\n The Tennessee Titans<\/a> selected Brown in the 2019 NFL Draft, where he played for three seasons before the Eagles traded for him during the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. New England is also expected to be in the market for a wide receiver this offseason, which means the Bills might be competing with them for Brown.<\/p>\n Buffalo needs to acquire either Brown or a player with a similar skill set, and if that means outbidding the Patriots, then they should go for it.
