This is the frightening moment a man swinging a machete terrorized a teenage laundromat employee while telling him to take off his San Francisco 49ers<\/a> jersey.<\/p>\n

Footage shows the suspect chasing 17-year-old Jacob Hernandez through his father’s business in Pomona, LA County, after smashing a glass door at the front of the laundromat to get in.<\/p>\n

When he smashed the door, he came within inches of striking someone who was stood close by, before he was seen hitting a countertop with the machete while darting around and threatening customers.<\/p>\n

‘I had a red shirt because the 49ers were playing that day. He came in, saw my shirt and said, “Get that effing red off,”‘ Hernandez told NBC Los Angeles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The incident is said to have occurred at around 9:14am on Saturday, the same day the 49ers played the Seattle Seahawks<\/a>\u00a0in the NFL playoffs.<\/p>\n

No one was injured, while the suspect left the area before police arrived. As of Monday, no arrests had been made.<\/p>\n

After smashing through a glass door, the knife-wielding man was seen chasing the 17-year-old\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Hernandez’s dad, Phil, said he rushed to shut the door to his business to keep the suspect out after hearing screams.<\/p>\n

‘What bothered me the most was that he went after my son,’ he recalled. ‘I wasn\u2019t suppose to be here that day, and my son works here alone.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019m not sure how my son or anyone would have handled that.’<\/p>\n

Phil added that the suspect had left the laundromat after an initial encounter before returning. When he called the police, he tried to hold the door closed while the suspect continued to shout outside.<\/p>\n

Security cameras then showed him swinging the machete and breaking the glass to get in before terrorizing Jacob.<\/p>\n

‘He kind of made it look like he was going after him,’ Phil said. ‘My son took off, I think, appropriately.’<\/p>\n

Later that day, the 49ers were destroyed 41-6 by the Seahawks in the NFC Divisional game.\u00a0<\/p>\n
