The Buffalo Bills took a heartbreaking overtime 33-30 loss to the Denver Broncos<\/a> in the AFC divisional round. Two days later, the Bills made the surprising decision to fire head coach Sean McDermott.<\/p>\n

Bills quarterback Josh Allen has only known McDermott as his head coach since the team traded up to draft him as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 NFL<\/a> draft. Together, they\u2019ve won five consecutive AFC East titles and made two AFC Championship game appearances.<\/p>\n

Numerous current and former Bills players have spoken out against the decision to give McDermott the axe, but Allen has not shared a public statement.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old quarterback was an emotional wreck following their loss to Denver. Saying goodbye to his head coach of eight years is likely difficult to put into words, even if he had a role in his dismissal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Allen processes another failed attempt to reach the Super Bowl and his coach\u2019s sudden departure, he has the support of his wife, Hailee Steinfeld. The couple announced in December that they\u2019re expecting their first child together.<\/p>\n

In the latest issue of Steinfeld\u2019s newsletter, she described her reaction<\/a> to watching the Bills\u2019 thrilling wild-card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> while getting ready for the Golden Globes. She also announced that just a few days after the Bills-Broncos showdown, she\u2019ll be hosting her first Substack Live.<\/p>\n

However, fans looking forward to the event on Tuesday got some last-minute bad news.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll have more award show behind-the-scenes coming next week,\u201d Steinfeld teased in her newsletter. \u201cOn Tuesday, I\u2019m doing my first Substack Live with my friend and fellow Substack writer Derek Blasberg. We\u2019ll chat about the Globes and break down past award-show looks and the stories behind them\u2026Tune in!\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the event was suddenly cancelled. \u201cHi beau society,\u201d she wrote on the newsletter\u2019s Instagram page. \u201cwe\u2019re rescheduling the substack live with @derekblasberg today! we will share the new time and date here as soon as we\u2019re back on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hailee Steinfeld Caught Strays During The Bills-Broncos Game<\/p>\n

Steinfeld stays away from TV cameras and avoids posting on social media while attending Allen\u2019s games, but the Broncos put the Oscar-nominated actress front and center at Mile High Stadium.<\/p>\n

Back in 2016, Steinfeld attended Super Bowl 50 during which the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers<\/a> 24-10. She posted a photo<\/a> on social media of herself in a Broncos starter jacket on Feb. 7, 2016, and wrote, \u201cHELL YEAH BRONCOS!!!! \ud83d\udca5.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also video of the \u201cSinners\u201d star dancing at the game. These social media posts are from 10 years ago, long before she started dating Allen in May 2023 and became the Queen of Buffalo. However, the Broncos took a fan\u2019s painting of the photo and plastered it on jumbotron during the AFC showdown.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Bills reporter Alaina Getzenberg took a photo of the moment<\/a> and posted it on X with a skull emoji. The post racked nearly 500,000 views by halftime.<\/p>\n

Allen addressed the decade-old photo of his wife supporting the Broncos a few days before the game. CBS Sports Tracy Wolfson<\/a> posted, \u201cAsked Josh about this pic and he told me he had no idea it was floating around. Laughed and said she was probably paid to be there. And that he definitely wasn\u2019t going to bring it up at home. \ud83d\ude02.\u201d<\/p>\n
