The Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> may be looking at a big departure from their front office, as assistant general manager Andy Weidl<\/a> is reportedly drawing interest from the Atlanta Falcons.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday night, Steelers<\/a> insider Mark Kaboly reported that Weidl will interview for the Falcons\u2019 vacant general manager position following Atlanta\u2019s decision to part ways with Terry Fontenot, who previously filled the role from 2021-2025.<\/p>\n

Weidl joined the Steelers\u2019 front office almost immediately after Omar Khan was named general manager, playing a huge part in scouting as he prepared Pittsburgh for the future.<\/p>\n

Considering how well respected Weidl is in the league, it wouldn\u2019t be surprising if, sooner rather than later, the Steelers have another vacancy that needs filling.<\/p>\n

As if potentially losing Weidl wasn\u2019t enough, Steelers Nation was forced to say farewell to a fan-favorite coach \u2014 special teams coordinator Danny Smith \u2014 who found a new team on Tuesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n
