The Minnesota Vikings<\/a> could be receiving trade interest regarding wide receiver Jordan Addison, who is reportedly on the Buffalo Bills<\/a> and San Francisco 49ers<\/a>\u2018 radar this offseason. <\/p>\n On Jan. 21, On SI\u2019s 49ers beat reporter Grant Cohn reported that the Bills, who need wide receiver help for QB Josh Allen, are among the teams competing with the Niners for Addison. <\/p>\n \u201cAccording to a source, the 49ers intend to be quite aggressive this offseason in terms of trades,\u201d Cohn said in a video posted on X<\/a>. \u201cThey want to trade up in the draft, and they want to trade for a wide receiver. And the wide receiver they\u2019re initially targeting in a trade is Jordan Addison of the Minnesota Vikings\u2026<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if [the 49ers will] ultimately get him because other teams are probably going to want him. I\u2019m hearing Buffalo is the team that also would like Jordan Addison. Remember, they traded with the Vikings a few years ago for Stefon Diggs. So there\u2019s a history between those two teams. But keep an eye on the 49ers making a play for Jordan Addison.\u201d<\/p>\n Minnesota Want to Keep Wideout Jalen Nailor<\/p>\n Moreover, Cohn notes that the Vikings want to hold onto Jalen Nailor, who will be a free agent in mid-March, opening the door for Minnesota to trade Addison. <\/p>\n \u201cThey like Jalen Nailor, who\u2019s a free wide receiver or going to be a free agent wide receiver on their team,\u201d Cohn added. \u201cThey\u2019d like to keep him. And since they\u2019re not going to pick up Jordan Addison\u2019s fifth\u2011year option, they would be open to trading him. <\/p>\n \u201cNow, he has been arrested three times, but most recently, the charges were dropped. So apparently, from what I heard, there have already been initial discussions between the two teams on a trade. I don\u2019t know if the Niners have made an offer.\u201d<\/p>\n Vikings Could Consider Jordan Addison\u2019s Trade Value<\/p>\n The USC Trojans<\/a> product had a challenging 2025 season, recording 42 receptions for 610 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games, per StatMuse<\/a>. Nonetheless, on the Jan. 20 edition of \u201cThe Alec Lewis Show,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0The Athletic\u2019s Alec Lewis shared his take regarding the Minnesota wideout\u2019s future.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve seen it [on Jan. 20] where this trespassing charge was dismissed, \u2018Okay, that makes it easier to trade him.\u2019 What I would say on that subject is that the Vikings, in this regime, I don\u2019t expect them\u00a0to ever trade people at their lowest value,\u201d Lewis said. \u201cIt\u2019s just not sensible with how this regime currently thinks about it\u00a0and\u00a0that\u2019s what I\u2019d say on that subject.<\/p>\n \u201cJordan Addison was drafted to be a clear fixture as part of the Vikings offensive identity, which has been to throw the ball downfield vertically and be able to use the passcatching talent to a premium advantage\u2026 but there is no overstating the importance of what these next handful of months are going to be for Jordan Addison\u2019s future here and, obviously, his value throughout the NFL.\u201d<\/p>\n Still, perhaps other teams needing wideout help feel that Addison is worth the gamble despite his three arrests.
