The Pro Football Writers’ Association of America put together its All-Rookie team for the 2025 NFL season, and included one member of the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That player was center Jonah Monheim, despite him playing only 205 total offensive snaps last season.<\/p>\n

Robert Hainsey was the Jaguars<\/a>‘ starting center; however, when Monheim was called up to step in, he filled that role quite well.<\/p>\n

Over 119 pass-blocking snaps, Monheim allowed no sacks and eight quarterback pressures. According to ESPN<\/a>, Monheim has a pass-block win rate of 95.1% and a run-block win rate of 77.8%.<\/p>\n

Not to be overlooked, either when discussing the center position, is all the work that comes pre-snap with setting protections and communicating adjustments based on what the defense is showing.<\/p>\n

While most of Monheim’s snaps have come at center, he’s stepped in briefly at right guard as well.<\/p>\n

GM James Gladstone selected Monheim in the seventh-round of this past April’s draft. Hainsey is still under contract for two more years, but Monheim could be a long-term option for Jacksonville at the center position.<\/p>\n
