{"id":695735,"date":"2026-01-22T07:09:18","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T07:09:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/695735\/"},"modified":"2026-01-22T07:09:18","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T07:09:18","slug":"former-jets-head-coach-robert-saleh-lands-new-hc-job","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/695735\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Jets head coach Robert Saleh lands new HC job"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Updated Jan. 21, 2026, 7:54 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Welcome back to the NFL&#8217;s head coach circuit, Robert Saleh.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The former head coach of the New York Jets has landed another job leading an NFL team only two years removed from his dismissal with the Green and White.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">It has been announced this week that the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/nfl\/teams\/tennessee-titans\/336\" data-autotag=\"f9731e2d-52ac-46db-9b52-ab518dbe13b4\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Tennessee Titans<\/a> have <a href=\"http:\/\/jetswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/titans\/2026\/01\/20\/tennessee-titans-hire-49ers-robert-saleh-head-coach\/88260464007\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hired Saleh to be their next head coach<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Saleh, 46, led the Jets from 2021 to mid-2024 when he was fired after five games. He recorded a 20-36 overall record in New York and his stint was marred by the injury quarterback Aaron Rodgers sustained quickly into the 2023 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The Jets had hired Saleh as he was previously the San Francisco 49ers&#8217; defensive coordinator.
