Jan. 22 (UPI) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> are expected to hire former Atlanta Falcons<\/a> offensive coordinator Zac Robinson<\/a> as their offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n

Sources told NFL Network<\/a>, ESPN<\/a> and Fox Sports<\/a> about the move Thursday. Robinson, 39, spent the last two seasons with the Falcons, who owned the NFL’s No. 14 offense in 2025 and No. 6 offense in 2024.\n<\/p>\n

He will replace former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard, who was fired earlier this month. The Buccaneers owned the NFL’s No. 21 offense in 2025, including the No. 20 passing offense and No. 21 rushing attack.<\/p>\n

The 2024 Buccaneers totaled the third-most yards in the NFL under former offensive coordinator Liam Coen, who departed last off-season to take over as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>. The Buccaneers offense ranked 23rd in 2023 under offensive coordinator Dave Canales, who also left the job to take a head coaching job with the Carolina Panthers<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

Robinson spent five seasons on Los Angeles Rams<\/a> coach Sean McVay<\/a>‘s staff, working as a passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach and assistant positional coach from 2019 through 2023. He worked alongside Coen for three years during that stretch.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher, former Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken, New York Giants coach Mike Kafka, Detroit Lions passing game coordinator David Shaw, Arizona Cardinals quarterbacks coach Israel Woolfork and Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan were among the other candidates for the position.<\/p>\n

The Buccaneers hired former Pittsburgh Steelers special teams coordinator Danny Smith on Tuesday to serve in the same role.<\/p>\n
