The Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> are continuing to conduct a thorough search for their next head coach<\/a>. The Raiders have interviewed a total of 14 candidates, but three of them have already been hired elsewhere. That leaves John Spytek, Mark Davis, and Tom Brady with 11 remaining options.<\/p>\n The Raiders have conducted three in-person interviews. One of them was with Mike McDaniel, who has agreed in principle to become the Los Angeles Chargers’<\/a> next offensive coordinator. Ejiro Evero and Jesse Minter<\/a> are the remaining candidates who were interviewed in person.<\/p>\n The slow playing process could indicate the Raiders’ preferred candidate is still coaching in the NFL playoffs, preventing them from setting up an in-person interview. More than half (6) of the remaining candidates are still competing in the postseason. That includes Broncos QB coach Davis Webb<\/a> and Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jordan Schultz is reporting that the Raiders may be focusing on an offensive-minded head coach to pair with likely No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza. Webb and Kubiak would certainly check those boxes.<\/p>\n The Raiders will be able to schedule interviews with Webb and\/or Kubiak next week. If their respective teams win and advance to the Super Bowl, rules will permit them to have virtual or in-person interviews during the bye week between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl. If they’re eliminated, well, they’re obviously available to interview.<\/p>\n
