The final day of the 2025 NFL Draft<\/a> is underway, and whether or not fans like the selections, the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> have not been timid in addressing the needs of the roster. <\/p>\n

The needs addressed over the first two days include the interior of the offensive line, as well as a playmaking safety and move tight end, as well as adding a dynamic rushing threat at quarterback. <\/p>\n

Round 1, Pick 18 (18 overall): G Grey Zabel, North Dakota State
\nRound 2, Pick 3 (35 overall): S Nick Emmanwori, South Carolina
\nRound 2, Pick 18 (50 overall): TE Elijah Arroyo, Miami
\nRound 3, Pick 28 (92 overall): QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama<\/p>\n

And the Day 3 picks for the Seahawks include: <\/p>\n

Round 4, Pick 35 (137 overall):
\nRound 5, Pick 4 (142 overall): DT Rylie Mills, Notre Dame<\/a><\/p>\n

Round 5, Pick 6 (144 overall):

And with pick 223 Seattle has selected RB Damien Martinez of Miami.<\/p>\n

Martinez is a physical, bruising runner with great yards after contact ability. It\u2019s a surprise he lasted into Round 7… which is where Chris Carson was selected. <\/p>\n

Dane Brugler of The Athletic<\/a> has his Martinez write-up:<\/p>\n

A one-year starter at Miami, Martinez became the lead back in offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson\u2019s RPO-based version of the Air Raid with gap\/duo principles. He led Oregon State in rushing his first two seasons before transferring to Miami in 2024. With the Hurricanes, he again surpassed 1,000 rushing yards and led the team in rushing while averaging 6.3 yards per carry.<\/p>\n

Martinez uses his patience, physicality and balance to pick through contact \u2014 a sizable chunk (71 percent) of his 2024 yardage came after contact. Though he often finds the right lane, he is more of a one-speed guy and gives pursuit a chance to close on him. Overall, Martinez doesn\u2019t have the burst or wiggle to consistently make defenders miss, but he can power through\/over them and prides himself on his finishing ability to churn out positive yards. He can be a \u201cdirty work\u201d runner on an NFL depth chart.<\/p>\n
