The Buffalo Bills<\/a> may have fallen short of their Super Bowl goal once again, but at least one player gets to spend more time on the playing field this season.<\/p>\n The team announced<\/a> on Friday that tight end Dalton Kincaid earned a trip to the Pro Bowl, taking the spot vacated by Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> tight end Travis Kelce<\/a>. It\u2019s not clear if Kincaid will be able to compete in the games, with a report revealing that he played through the season with a serious injury.<\/p>\n Dalton Kincaid Rewarded for Career-Best Touchdown Production<\/p>\n This will be the first Pro Bowl nod for Kincaid, the team\u2019s first-round pick in the 2023 NFL<\/a> Draft. Kincaid was a top target for quarterback Josh Allen<\/a> this season, making 39 receptions for 571 yards and a career-high five touchdowns. He appeared in only 12 games, missing stretches due to injury.<\/p>\n Fellow tight end Dawson Knox<\/a> revealed on former Bills lineman Mitch Morse\u2019s \u201cMonday Mornings with Mitch\u201d<\/a>\u00a0podcast that Kincaid was playing through some serious injuries to end the season.<\/p>\n \u201cDalton has a torn PCL he was playing through,\u201d\u00a0he said. \u201cJust the amount of head, shoulders, knees and toes. Eyes and ears and mouth and nose, dude. Everything. I mean, it was easier to make a list of the things that didn\u2019t hurt on a lot of these guys.\u201d<\/p>\n Kincaid returned for the playoffs, leading the team with two touchdown receptions as the team advanced out of the wild-card round but fell short against the Denver Broncos<\/a> in the divisional round.<\/p>\n \u201cGuys that were able to kind of put their bodies on the line,\u201d Knox said. \u201cEven if they were already hurt, to give whatever boost they could to this team to help us win games.\u201d<\/p>\n The Pro Bowl format has changed in recent years, with a series of games including a flag football contest rather than a full game.<\/p>\n Travis Kelce Facing Another Big Decision<\/p>\n While he is bowing out of the Pro Bowl, Kelce will be facing another big decision about his NFL future. His contract with the Chiefs is up at the end of this NFL year, and the future Hall of Famer has contemplated retirement.<\/p>\n Kelce may have given a hint about his future, saying on his podcast this week that he is excited to see Eric Bieniemy to return as the team\u2019s offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t wait to see him back in the building,\u201d Kelce said. \u201cHe\u2019s one of my favorite coaches of all-time, one of my favorite people of all time. I\u2019ve had so many unbelievable growing moments under him as a player, as a person, and I just love the guy and it\u2019s going to be awesome to see him back in the building and see him back wearing the Chiefs logo, baby.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bills have decisions of their own, conducting a wide-ranging search for a new head coach after Sean McDermott<\/a> was fired on Monday.
