That meant all eyes were on the Faclons run game and Allgeier thrived.<\/p>\n
Then the Falcons drafted Bijan Robinson and Allgeier settled into a complementary role. Over the next three seasons, Allgeier rushed for 1,841 yards on 466 carries, an average of 3.95 yards per rush and many of those efforts were in short yardage.<\/p>\n
Joe loves how Allgeier has never fumbled in the NFL and how he found the end zone 8 times last year on the ground. He\u2019s no Rachaad White in the passing game, but Allgeier is known as a punishing pass blocker. The data nerds have lauded him for years.<\/p>\n
At 25 years old with relatively low mileage on his legs, Joe likes how powerful Allgeier would look in the Bucs backfield, where Bucky Irving hasn\u2019t proven durable or to be a special red zone runner.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, Allgeier will be in demand in free agency. But if the Bucs feel they can\u2019t count on Irving and think they might have to score 30 points a game to get in the playoffs, Allgeier would be a heck of a pickup.
