The Arizona Cardinals<\/a> are apparently down to three lead candidates for their vecant head coaching job to replace Jonathan Gannon. One is still in the playoffs and two could be hired at any point.<\/p>\n According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini<\/a>, the three lead candidates are Los Angeles Rams<\/a> offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile and former Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris.<\/p>\n Campanile had a second, in-person interview with the Cardinals this past week. Morris had an in-person interview early in the process, but there hasn’t been a report of a second one yet. LaFleur, who is coaching for the Rams in the playoffs on Sunday, cannot have an in-person interview until next week. He could not be hired until the Rams have lost in the postseason or have won the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n The Cardinals went 3-14 last season, dealing with offensive and defensive issues, and having more than their share of injuries. They lost their final nine games, five of which were by at least three scores. They lost 14 of their final 15 games.<\/p>\n Gannon went 15-36 in three seasons as head coach.<\/p>\n Need a news break?
