His hiring replaces Andre Patterson in the role as the Giants rebuild their coaching staff under the newly appointed Harbaugh.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>A native of Amory, Mississippi, Johnson played defensive tackle at LSU from 2008 to 2011. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Northwestern State (2012-2013) before returning to LSU in various roles, including defensive line coach from 2018-2019.
