The Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> picked up their biggest offseason win Wednesday when the vote to ban the \u201ctush push\u201d<\/a> quarterback sneak play failed. And now fans can commemorate that victory with a new T-shirt released by the team.<\/p>\n

Following an array of social media posts<\/a> (and uploading a 26-minute compilation of tush pushes<\/a> to YouTube) celebrating the thwarted attempt to ban the play, the Eagles ended their victory lap by announcing they\u2019re selling shirts bearing the newly coined \u201cPush on\u201d tag line through their official online shop. The shirt is listed for $34.99<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to the shirt, the Eagles\u2019 shop also changed it\u2019s \u201cadd to cart\u201d button to read \u201cpush here\u201d instead, displaying one more small victory lap for the controversial play remaining legal in the NFL.<\/p>\n

League sources told The Athletic that 10 teams \u2014 including the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions and New York Jets \u2014 voted against that proposal, put forth by the Green Bay Packers. A majority of the league ultimately voted for a ban, but the Packers\u2019 proposal fell two votes shy of the required 24-vote threshold. The Eagles\u2019 first social media post<\/a> bearing the new \u201cPush on\u201d mantra featured an image of the team\u2019s offense lining up for a tush push against the Packers.<\/p>\n

Eagles leadership lobbied to protect the play they\u2019d perfected<\/a> right up to the end. According to a league source, owner Jeffrey Lurie addressed assembled owners for more than 30 minutes before Wednesday\u2019s vote, emphasizing the need to clean up the process, not the play itself, saying: \u201cWhoever votes to ban this play is taking liability for putting risk on our quarterbacks.\u201d Following Lurie\u2019s speech, former Eagles center Jason Kelce testified to the play\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n
