Jonathan Gannon is going from the desert to Wisconsin.<\/p>\n
The Packers are hiring the former Arizona Cardinals head coach to be the new defensive coordinator in Green Bay, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported on Sunday morning, per sources.<\/p>\n
Gannon, 42, takes over Green Bay’s defense after former Packers DC Jeff Hafley took the head coaching job<\/a> for the Miami Dolphins on Jan. 19.<\/p>\n Hafley spent two seasons in Green Bay, leading the Packers’ defensive unit to top-12 finishes in points and yards allowed, and the defense production took a slight dip when All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons<\/a> suffered a torn ACL<\/a> in Week 15.<\/p>\n Gannon steps into a well-orchestrated defensive unit with Packers head coach Matt LaFleur now finding Hafley’s replacement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jonathan Gannon is going from the desert to Wisconsin.
