As the Detroit Lions<\/a> navigate the 2026 NFL offseason, some of the most important dates of the scouting calendar are unfolding this weekend.<\/p>\n Though he won’t play in the East-West Shrine Bowl and wasn’t practicing, former Alabama<\/a> starting left tackle Kadyn Proctor showed up to the East-West Shrine B3owl practices<\/a> where he met with scouts from various teams.<\/p>\n Per Hail Mary Sports, the Lions<\/a> were among the teams that pulled Proctor aside to talk.<\/p>\n It could be an early indication of where the Lions’ interest lies with its No. 17 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Proctor is currently ranked as the No. 4 offensive tackle on ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.’s Big Board<\/a> and is ESPN’s No. 23 best available player<\/a>.<\/p>\n Proctor started 40 games across his Crimson Tide career, missing just the first two games of the 2024 season with injury.<\/p>\n Expert NFL picks: Exclusive betting insights only at USA TODAY.<\/a><\/p>\n The 6-foot-7, 366-pound lineman was Alabama’s highest-graded player last season with an overall offensive grade of 85.9, per Pro Football Focus<\/a>.
