First, they hired someone with zero head coaching experience, but Antonio Pierce only lasted one season.<\/p>\n<p>Then, they tried to take the opposite approach by hiring a coaching legend with 19 seasons of NFL head coaching experience. But again, Pete Carroll only lasted one season.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Now, the Raiders may be leaning toward hiring another candidate with zero NFL head coaching experience.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JFowlerESPN\/status\/2015445886013464950\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler<\/a>, \u201cmultiple league sources consider\u201d Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as a \u201cprime candidate\u201d to become the next head coach of the Raiders.<\/p>\n<p>Kubiak was born into the game of football as the son of former NFL head coach and Super Bowl winner Gary Kubiak. He also has two brothers, Klay (San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator) and Klein (Dallas Cowboys national scout), who are working in the NFL too.<\/p>\n<p>As for Klint, he\u2019s just 38 years old. Yet, he\u2019s already been an offensive coordinator for three different NFL teams. First with the Minnesota Vikings in 2021, then with the New Orleans Saints in 2024, and most recently in Seattle.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>However, Kubiak isn\u2019t the only candidate strongly linked to the Raiders\u2019 vacancy. Broncos pass-game coordinator Davis Webb is viewed as a \u201cviable option\u201d too.
