Brian Schottenheimer and the Dallas Cowboys<\/a> just completed a defensive coordinator search with the hiring of Christian Parker<\/a>, and they made sure they didn\u2019t have to conduct an offensive coordinator search, either.<\/p>\n

According to a report from ESPN<\/a>, the Philadelphia Eagles requested to speak with Cowboys OC Klayton Adams about their offensive coordinator vacancy, but the Cowboys denied that request.<\/p>\n

The Eagles are in search for a new play caller after they moved on from OC Kevin Patullo after just one season calling plays<\/a>. While Adams doesn\u2019t call plays in Dallas and Philadelphia was presumably inquiring about him potentially calling plays, the move would still be lateral in title, meaning Philadelphia still had to request to interview him.<\/p>\n

Adams was hired from Arizona and helped inject life into the Cowboys\u2019 run game<\/a>, helping Javonte Williams see a career resurgence in 2025 with 1,201 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Dallas finished second in the NFL in total offense in Adams\u2019 first season as the offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n

Adams has ties to Philadelphia\u2019s staff, as he was the Colts\u2019 offensive line coach from 2019-20 when Nick Sirianni was on Indianapolis\u2019 staff. Despite the interest from Sirianni, he\u2019ll remain in Dallas for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
