The Washington Commanders<\/a> are in full offseason mode. Their search for an offensive coordinator ended with the hiring of David Blough<\/a>, and their search for a defensive coordinator<\/a> continues.<\/p>\n

While searching for their next defensive leader, GM Adam Peters is wasting no time with player personnel, signing cornerback Qwuantrezz Knight to a reserve\/futures contract.<\/p>\n

Knight played collegiate football at Maryland, Kent State, and UCLA before signing with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He’s spent most of his NFL career on practice squads, but was active for one season in 2023 with the Arizona Cardinals<\/a>. He did not see any field time despite being an active member of the roster.<\/p>\n

The Commanders<\/a> certainly need defensive help, and perhaps Knight could be one of the guys to do it. Even if he doesn’t find his way to the active roster this season, he could be one of the guys who pushes his teammates to reach their potential.<\/p>\n

What he does in Washington remains to be seen, but for now, he’ll suit up for training camp and OTAs in Commanders’ colors in 2026.<\/p>\n
