The Philadelphia Eagles have requested to interview Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle for the same position.Doyle is considered a rising coaching prospect who recently joined the Bears’ staff.Prior to Chicago, Doyle was the tight-ends coach for the Denver Broncos from 2023-2024.He also worked as an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints from 2019 to 2022.<\/p>\n
The Eagles<\/a> are now three weeks into their offensive coordinator search, and a talented, rising name who entered the chat has now exited the building stage left. Philadelphia had requested to interview Bears<\/a> offensive coordinator Declan Doyle for their vacant offensive coordinator position.<\/p>\n A young and rising coaching prospect who made our initial list of candidates to watch,<\/a> Doyle served as the Denver Broncos<\/a> tight-ends coach from the 2023-2024 seasons before joining Ben Johnson’s staff this year in Chicago as the offensive coordinator. While Doyle has the title of offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson called the plays for the No. 2 seed.<\/p>\n Now, Dianna Russini reports that Doyle has withdrawn his name from the Eagles<\/a>‘ offensive coordinator search and will remain with the Bears<\/a>.<\/p>\n Before joining Denver, Doyle worked as an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints<\/a> from 2019 to 2022. During his four seasons with the Saints<\/a>, the team compiled a 41-25 (.621) record, earning NFC South Division titles in his first two years. Doyle was part of an offense that saw eight players selected for a total of 12 Pro Bowls over those four seasons.<\/p>\n He’ll now run it back with a loaded Bears offense that’ll see Caleb Williams mature even more entering Year 3 after his first playoff appearance.<\/p>\n
