The Atlanta Falcons<\/a> are hiring former Detroit Lions<\/a> general manager Bob Quinn as a senior advisor to new Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski, per a report from The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov.<\/p>\n Quinn spent the past five seasons with Stefanski in Cleveland as a senior consultant with the Browns in 2021 and as a senior personnel \/ coaching executive in Cleveland from 2022-25. Stefanski was the Browns’ head coach each of the past six seasons from 2020-25.<\/p>\n Quinn joined the Lions<\/a> in January of 2016, serving as Detroit’s general manager through parts of five seasons. Quinn and then-Lions head coach Matt Patricia were both fired in November of 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Lions were 31-43-1 during Quinn’s tenure as GM and just 13-29-1 with Patricia as its head coach. Quinn tied his Lions future to Patricia’s success or failures when he made the move to replace Jim Caldwell with Patricia after a pair of 9-7 seasons under Caldwell in Quinn’s first two years as Detroit’s GM.<\/p>\n Some of Quinn’s notable moves in Detroit included signing wide receiver Marvin Jones from Cincinnati<\/a>.
