Zach Wilson<\/a> is on the hunt for his next NFL home, and he just received an endorsement from a Pro Bowl teammate.<\/p>\n

Wilson spent the 2025 season with the Miami Dolphins as the backup to Tua Tagovailoa and later Quinn Ewers.<\/p>\n

The former No. 2 overall pick<\/a> out of BYU appeared in just four games for Miami, completing six passes for 32 yards.<\/p>\n

But his lack of playing time didn\u2019t stop him from impressing and earning the respect of teammate Tyreek Hill.<\/p>\n

What Tyreek Hill said about Zach Wilson<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Hill reposted a tweet from NFL Rumors that said Wilson \u201cwants to go to a NFL team to develop him further like Sam Darnold and Mac Jones has.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cZach is a great QB plus locker mate with more time with Mike (McDaniel) who knows,\u201d Hill wrote in his post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wilson expressed interest in getting another opportunity to be an NFL starter in a conversation with the Palm Beach Post earlier this month, as the Deseret News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, I would love to start somewhere,\u201d he said. \u201dObviously, I don\u2019t know what that looks like. I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ll have that opportunity or not yet, but I\u2019m willing to compete wherever I end up and try to just put myself in the best position possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like Hill suggested, Wilson could reunite with McDaniel, who was fired in Miami this month and was named the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n

Wilson was complimentary of McDaniel, even after the coach chose to start Ewers over him<\/a> for the final three games of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey do a great job here,\u201d Wilson told the Palm Beach Post. \u201cI think the organization is awesome. I really appreciate the owner as well, I think he does a good job taking care of all the guys. I think Mike does a great job, especially from the offensive standpoint. I thought we did a lot of really cool stuff. I really enjoyed Coach (Darrell Bevell) in the QB room as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

If Wilson followed McDaniel to Los Angeles, it wouldn\u2019t be to start, but Wilson could continue to develop under McDaniel while backing up Justin Herbert.<\/p>\n

There is an opening for the backup role in Los Angeles. In 2025, the Chargers had only two quarterbacks on the roster: Herbert and Trey Lance.<\/p>\n

Lance, who was drafted one pick after Wilson in 2021, only signed a one-year deal with the Chargers in 2025.<\/p>\n

Wilson\u2019s next stop will be his fourth team and third since leaving the New York Jets after spending the previous two seasons with the Denver Broncos and the Dolphins.<\/p>\n

With the right opportunity and coaches, Wilson could follow in the footsteps of fellow former Jets quarterback Sam Darnold, who has since rehabbed his career with stops in Carolina, San Francisco and Minnesota and has now led the Seattle Seahawks to the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota Vikings were Darnold\u2019s third team since the Jets and where he really turned around his career, earning a spot in the Pro Bowl and a $100.5 million three-year deal<\/a> with Seattle.<\/p>\n
