Mannion will interview with the Eagles, and if he plays his cards right, he\u2019ll land one of the best coordinator jobs in football.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia is casting a wide net, and Mannion\u2019s name now sits in a candidate pool after two years on the Packers\u2019 staff.<\/p>\n

Mannion has served as a coach on the Green Bay Packers\u2019 staff \u2014 an offensive assistant in 2024 and quarterbacks coach in 2025 \u2014 and is still just three years removed from his playing career.<\/p>\n

Eagles to Interview Mannion for OC<\/p>\n

The Eagles expanded their OC search on Tuesday, as NBC Sports\u2018 Myles Simmons wrote<\/a>, \u201cIt looks like the Eagles are getting closer to finding their next offensive coordinator. Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, Philadelphia is bringing in Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion for an in-person interview this week.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis will be Mannion\u2019s second interview with the club, as he previously met virtually with the Eagles. Mannion, 33, just finished his first year as Green Bay\u2019s quarterbacks coach, having replaced the legendary Tom Clements. It was his second year on the Packers\u2019 staff, as he served as an offensive assistant in 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mannion gained notoriety in Minnesota as Kirk Cousins<\/a>\u2018 backup for a few years.<\/p>\n

Mannion\u2019s Playing Career<\/p>\n

Mannion bounced between Minnesota and Seattle for years, treating the two rosters like adjacent stops. Since 2019, he pinballed back and forth, last appearing with the Vikings in 2023 after landing on the practice squad in October. Minnesota released him in December, and the familiar landing spot followed shortly after, where he quietly wrapped up his playing days.<\/p>\n

An Oregon State product, Mannion entered the league in 2015 as a 3rd-Round pick<\/a> by St. Louis. He stayed tethered to the Rams for the duration of his rookie deal, then launched into the Minnesota\u2013Seattle loop that wound down his career.<\/p>\n
