Former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll has officially found new employment as the offensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans<\/a>. The draw of working with 2025 first-overall pick Cam Ward was ultimately too much for him to pass up.<\/p>\n

Now that he\u2019s on his way to Nashville, it\u2019s fair to assume he\u2019ll want to bring some of his players with him. Just look at what John Harbaugh\u2019s doing with his staff as Big Blue\u2019s new HC. It\u2019s all about who you know nowadays, and while there are several players who could follow Dabs to Tennessee, one sticks out among the rest as a real gut punch.<\/p>\n

Before I reveal the player\u2019s name, I\u2019m willing to bet you\u2019re thinking it\u2019s either Jermaine Eluemunor or Wan\u2019Dale Robinson. It makes sense, especially since both are upcoming free agents, and the Titans could use help on the line and at receiver.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, it\u2019s just as wrong as thinking it might be a potential cap casualty, such as Devin Singletary (who Daboll loves) or Jon Runyan. Perhaps Daniel Bellinger wants to reach his full potential, and a lackluster tight end room could do exactly that for the 25-year-old. But you\u2019d be wrong.<\/p>\n

The player Giants fans need to worry most about losing doesn\u2019t play on the offensive side of the ball. If you\u2019ve finally come to the conclusion it\u2019s Cor\u2019Dale Flott, congratulations. If you thought it was Flott the whole time, I\u2019m definitely skeptical… but also incredibly impressed.<\/p>\n

Tennessee is in prime position to swipe the 24-year-old right out from under Big Blue once free agency opens in March. Daboll and Co. are flush with cash, currently sitting on around $93.5 million in cap space<\/a>, with room to create more.<\/p>\n

That means if a bidding war breaks out, the G-Men look like David real quick with just $1.8 million in the coffers<\/a>. Sure, general manager Joe Schoen can clear up space, but if Dabs sells his new HC Robert Saleh and GM Mike Borgonzi on Flott and his breakout campaign, New York could lose its best cornerback, with little hope of finding a replacement on his level.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s definitely not on the roster. Paulson Adebo practically stole $18 million from the Giants last year with his inconsistent play. Deonte Banks is borderline unplayable. Dru Phillips is strictly a slot guy. And Korie Black couldn\u2019t cover a bed with a sheet as a rookie. Losing Flott would be devastating.<\/p>\n

Saleh\u2019s a defensive-minded guy, and with open corner competition opposite L\u2019Jarius Sneed, all it takes is a few sweet nothings from his new OC to put Flott on their radar.
