Packers fans who love the NFL Draft are in an interesting predicament this offseason. On the one hand, the Packers have no first round pick this year (or next) thanks to the Micah Parsons trade. That makes the top end of the draft significantly less interesting.<\/p>\n
But on the other hand, the Packers\u2019 lack of a first round pick makes the other rounds all the more interesting and important, which is arguably the domain of the real hardcore draft enthusiasts. Besides the fact that under Brian Gutekunst the Packers\u2019 first round picks haven\u2019t been all that interesting, the real roster-building work takes place on days two and three of the NFL Draft \u2014 and that\u2019s the only place the Packers will be working this year. Their late picks have never been more important.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s the paradox, such as it is. If you love the NFL Draft \u2014 all seven rounds \u2014 this is your moment. You\u2019ll never have a better reason to dig deeply into the later rounds of the draft. If you love the first 32 picks, well, I guess we\u2019ll have to see you in 2028. But don\u2019t worry, we\u2019ll welcome you back with open arms. All rounds of the draft are important, it\u2019s just that the Packers won\u2019t be visiting one of them for some time.<\/p>\n
The Packers Wire folks are keeping an eye on every aspect of the Senior Bowl roster, including the National defense<\/a>, the American offense<\/a>, and the American defense<\/a>.
