The Los Angeles Chargers announced they completed an interview with Broncos defensive passing game coordinator and assistant HC Jim Leonhard for their vacant defensive coordinator position.<\/p>\n
Leonhard had some interest<\/a> from Green Bay for their DC job before they hired Jonathan Gannon, but he now will be a top candidate to lead the Bills\u2019 defense under recently-promoted HC Joe Brady.<\/p>\n Leonhard, 43, played 10 seasons in the NFL for the Bills, Ravens, Jets, Broncos, Saints, and Browns. He was hired as the defensive backs coach at Wisconsin for the 2016 season.<\/p>\n Wisconsin promoted Leonhard to defensive coordinator the following year, and he remained in the role until the 2022 season, when he took over as the interim head coach.\u00a0<\/p>\n Leonhard finished with a record of 5-3 as the interim coach at Wisconsin in 2022.
