\nDirected by Angela Zender and Shannon Furman,\u00a0\u201cThe Philly Special\u201d\u00a0will follow the origins, execution and impact of the play, which started with a direct snap from center Jason Kelce to running back Corey Clement and ended with quarterback Nick Foles catching a touchdown pass from tight end Trey Burton.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cEverybody loves the \u2018Rocky\u2019 movies, but they were fiction,\u201d Zender said in a statement. \u201cThe amazing thing about \u2018The Philly Special\u2019 is that it\u2019s a real-life Rocky story. A group of five underdogs went up against the greatest dynasty in NFL history and pulled off an upset worthy of Hollywood. That underdog mentality is something that will resonate with people all over the country.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\nThe film will bring together former coach Doug Pederson and the four players who touched the ball during the play \u2014 Kelce, Clement, Burton and Foles. There are also interviews with analysts, former players and fans who explain what the play meant to them.\n<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe felt pretty confident that we were going to go in there and have a pretty good game offensively,\u201d Kelce said in the trailer. \u201cNow, we didn\u2019t know we were going to have to play that good.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe Philly Special\u201d will also focus on the city and its \u201cunbridled underdog passion,\u201d according to ESPN.\n<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI grew up an Eagles fan,\u201d Furman said in a statement. \u201cSo, \u2018The Philly Special\u2019 has been a dream project. \u2026 There\u2019s no doubt fans will enjoy re-living the Eagles\u2019 first Super Bowl as much as I did.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
