Tom Brady<\/a> and the Las Vegas<\/a> Raiders are reportedly closing in on their new head coach – but will have to face a nervous wait before any deal is complete.<\/p>\n

After a dismal 2025 season which saw them miss out on the playoffs, the Raiders fired head coach Pete Carroll and have since been on the search for a replacement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As exclusively revealed by The Daily Mail, Brady had been pursuing John Harbaugh following his Baltimore Ravens<\/a> exit – before the coach landed at the Giants.<\/p>\n

Now, following Harbaugh’s move to New York, Brady and the Raiders have turned their attention to Seattle offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, according to ESPN.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The outlet claim that the Raiders have planned a second interview with 38-year-old over the weekend.\u00a0One source told the outlet: ‘It’s probably [Kubiak’s] job to lose’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, should they reach an agreement with Kubiak, they will have to wait until after the Super Bowl to get him in – given he will be on the sidelines for Seattle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is tipped to land the role in Las Vegas<\/p>\n

Further reports have suggested that, should he make the move to Las Vegas, there is a strong likelihood that he brings other Seahawks staff with him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It would mark the second-straight former Seattle coach that the Raiders would make their head coach after hiring Carroll last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Carroll, who previously won a Super Bowl<\/a>\u00a0in Seattle and two national titles at USC, signed a three-year deal with Las Vegas before the season, but ultimately finished the year with the worst record in the NFL at 3-14.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was eventually fired on January 5th before the Raiders embarked on their search for a replacement over recent weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Whoever becomes the Raiders’ next head coach will likely have a rookie quarterback to work alongside, with Indiana Hoosiers star Fernando Mendoza expected to join.<\/p>\n

Mendoza is slated to be the first overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft after leading Indiana<\/a> to its first ever national championship. Brady was in Miami to watch the Hoosiers’ win over the Hurricanes.<\/p>\n

The Raiders hold the No 1 pick after a dreadful season under Carroll, who was fired after just one year at the helm.<\/p>\n
