The Washington Commanders<\/a>, Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, and Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> could pursue a young playmaker in NFL free agency this offseason.<\/p>\n

CBS Sports’ Zach Pereles<\/a> lists Washington, Kansas City, and Philadelphia as potential landing spots for Baltimore Ravens<\/a> pending free agent tight end Isaiah Likely.<\/p>\n

Pereles adds his prediction of Likely landing with the Commanders:<\/p>\n

“Washington needs to replace Zach Ertz, and Likely provides speed and athleticism Jayden Daniels hasn’t had at the position before.”<\/p>\n

The Commanders are projected to have $63 million in cap space<\/a>, and bringing in Likely to replace Zach Ertz, who is also hitting free agency, would be a logical move.<\/p>\n

Likely would add a big-play element to Washington’s offense from the tight end position, and though he’s coming off a down year with just 307 yards and one touchdown, the 25-year-old has shown flashes of his electric playstyle through four seasons.<\/p>\n

Though the Commanders make sense as a suitor for Likely, don’t count out the Chiefs or Eagles. Kansas City may need to replace Travis Kelce this offseason, but even if the future Hall of Famer doesn’t retire, pairing him with Likely would elevate the Chiefs’ offense and give quarterback Patrick Mahomes another dynamic weapon.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia could lose Dallas Goedert to free agency, and replacing him with a younger and more explosive player like Likely would be a solid move by general manager Howie Roseman.<\/p>\n

Neither the Eagles nor the Chiefs has as much cap space<\/a> as the Commanders, but all three franchises could be interested in signing Likely, who Spotrac projects will land a two-year deal worth $17.6 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n
