The Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> are being urged to bring back a familiar face in free agency.<\/p>\n

Pro Football Focus\u2019 Bradley Locker recently listed one free agent<\/a> that every team should pursue over the offseason, and for the Eagles, the pick was veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas.<\/p>\n

Eagles fans should remember Douglas, as the Birds drafted him in the third round (99th overall) of the 2017 draft. Douglas spent the first three seasons of his career in Philly and he was part of the team that won the first Super Bowl in franchise history in 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Eagles\u2019 discordant season will produce natural turnover, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Philadelphia has arguably the league\u2019s best corner duo in Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell, but landing another good perimeter corner would be wise,\u201d Locker wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cDouglas was outstanding during his lone season in Miami, earning a 73.6 PFF coverage grade and allowing only 54.1% of his targets to be hauled in. Over the last two years, he also ranks 13th\u00a0in coverage grade on Cover 3 and Cover 6, the two most featured looks by Vic Fangio. The former Eagle could very well return to Philadelphia on a short-term deal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since leaving the Eagles, Douglas has been all over the league, spending time with the Carolina Panthers<\/a>, Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>, Houston Texans<\/a>, Arizona Cardinals<\/a>, Green Bay Packers<\/a>, Buffalo Bills<\/a> and most recently, the Miami Dolphins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Douglas will be 31 before the 2026 season starts, but he was still playing at a high level last season, so he should still have some gas left in the tank. The Eagles could use another outside corner, so perhaps a reunion is in the cards.<\/p>\n
