This Pro Football Hall of Fame vote excluding Bill Belichick has caused outcry and outrage, but on behalf of whom?<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t vote for such awards. Never have, never will. I don\u2019t want to be in a position to defend or dissent with the votes of others. I\u2019ve enough trouble with \u201cThat\u2019s all we\u2019ve got?\u201d candidates in November.<\/p>\n<p>But I wouldn\u2019t have voted for Belichick.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing to do with cheating accusations, his reliance on Tom Brady, his relentlessly rude and self-entitled mistreatment of sportswriters, nor his choice of <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/05\/15\/sports\/bill-belichick-has-always-been-unhinged-jordon-hudson-drama-only-proves-it\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a dubious-intentioned, post-cheerleader, make-sure-you-shoot-my-cleavage and career opportunist<\/a> as his, almost in the literal sense, \u201cgirl friend,\u201d 48 years his junior.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Yet again, I\u2019m not convinced that the sports media accurately reflect the interest level of sports fans.
