Convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein connected New York Giants chairman and co-owner Steve Tisch with multiple women, according to newly released emails, and Tisch received scouting reports on women from Epstein and the two men discussed whether women were \u201cpro or civilian\u201d or a \u201cworking girl.\u201d<\/p>\n
The emails, sent in 2013, were among more than three million Epstein-related documents that the Department of Justice released Friday. There are also emails between Epstein and women who wrote about their encounters with Tisch.<\/p>\n
A prominent film producer, Tisch, 76, assumed his role with the Giants in 2005. His father purchased 50 percent of the team in 1991. The email address Tisch used in his communications with Epstein \u2014 \u201cgumptower\u201d \u2014 may be a reference to the 1994 film \u201cForrest Gump\u201d that he produced. \u201cRisky Business,\u201d \u201cThe Pursuit of Happyness\u201d and \u201cThe Equalizer\u201d franchise are among his other credits. He is a producer and partner with California-based Escape Artists Entertainment.<\/p>\n
Tisch did not immediately respond to multiple calls, a text message, and an email seeking comment. An estate manager at his home residence said he could not immediately reach Tisch at his office. A Giants spokesperson did not immediately comment when reached by phone. The Athletic left messages for multiple women referenced in these email exchanges. They did not immediately respond to interview requests.<\/p>\n
Epstein died by suicide in August 2019 in his jail cell while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.<\/p>\n
In May 2013, Epstein emailed Tisch, and he responded, \u201cStill in NFL meeting.\u201d Their exchange continued that afternoon.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can invite the (Russian) \u2026 to meet if you like,\u201d Epstein responded.<\/p>\n
\u201cIs she fun?\u201d Tisch emailed a minute later.<\/p>\n
In June 2013, Tisch asked Epstein about a specific woman. Epstein responded: \u201c(Tahitian) speaks mostly french exotic\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWorking girl?\u201d Tisch wrote back.<\/p>\n
\u201cNever,\u201d Epstein emailed.<\/p>\n
That same month, Tisch emailed Epstein, apparently referencing a different woman they had discussed earlier: \u201cIs my present in NYC?\u201d Epstein replied, \u201cYes.\u201d Tisch followed up early the next morning, \u201cCan I get my surprise to take me to lunch tomorrow?\u201d<\/p>\n
In another exchange, Epstein wrote to Tisch: \u201cDid you contact the great ass fake tit (name redacted) she\u2019s a character, short term, has an older boyfriend going to acting school, a 10 ass.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tisch emailed back: \u201cThanks Jeffrey. Curious to know about (name redacted). I will contact (name redacted) \u2026 pro or civilian?\u201d<\/p>\n
Epstein responded, in part: \u201ccivilian, but Russian, and rarely tells the full truth, but fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a different email, Epstein followed up with Tisch after he\u2019d connected with one of the women: \u201creport just in, you did very well, she wants to go to the play, she is a little freaked by the age difference but go slow \u2026 i will try to convince her not to return to Ukraine. having her crying worked.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tisch responded: \u201cNice report \u2026 Funny comment on crying!!!\u201d<\/p>\n
There are also emails between Epstein and women in which they discuss meeting with Tisch. Some reference the possibility that Tisch could help them with their acting careers.<\/p>\n
\u201cGonna meet Steve Tisch next week for a dinner,\u201d the woman wrote. \u201cHe said that he gonna work on 3 movies starting June. So I\u2019ll ask if I can read scripts and maybe audition for some part.\u201d<\/p>\n
In September 2013, Tisch offered Epstein two tickets to his suite for the Giants game, and he invited him to other games as well. Epstein invited Tisch to visit him on his private island in the Caribbean. It is not clear from the emails if Tisch ever took Epstein up on those offers.<\/p>\n
During one exchange in which they discussed a date Tisch had been on, Epstein wrote to Tisch: \u201cI am happy to have you as a new but \u2026 shared interest friend.\u201d<\/p>\n
