The Cincinnati Bengals<\/a>, Dallas Cowboys<\/a>, Seattle Seahawks<\/a>, and San Francisco 49ers<\/a> could target a former Pro Bowl edge rusher this offseason to upgrade their defenses.<\/p>\n

CBS Sports’ Zach Pereles<\/a> believes Jadeveon Clowney could have a decent market in free agency, with the Bengals, Cowboys, Seahawks, and 49ers as potential suitors.<\/p>\n

Pereles adds his prediction of Clowney leaving Dallas to sign with Cincinnati:<\/p>\n

“Even at 32, Clowney showed he can get after the passer and stop the run at a high level. The Bengals very much need both.”<\/p>\n

Clowney played in 13 games and started six for the Cowboys in 2025, posting 8.5 sacks and 40 quarterback pressures<\/a>, proving that he can still be a valuable part of a pass-rushing rotation.<\/p>\n

Dallas should look to retain Clowney, but if he does leave, any contender will be interested in the former No. 1 pick.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati and San Francisco could use more pass-rushing help, especially the Bengals if they lose Trey Hendrickson. Clowney would step in as an immediate starter for the Bengals and provide solid production as a complementary pass rusher.<\/p>\n

The 49ers could also use Clowney to pair with Nick Bosa, who will return in 2026 after playing just three games in 2025 due to a torn ACL<\/a>. An edge rusher duo of Bosa and Clowney would be electric and revive a San Francisco pass rush that ranked last in the NFL in sacks<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n

Though they already have a stacked defense, don’t rule out a reunion between Clowney and the Seahawks. Seattle is slated to have nearly $75 million in cap space<\/a> and could upgrade its Super Bowl roster by signing Clowney to bolster the pass rush.<\/p>\n
