He does have a long history with new head coach Jeff Hafley dating back to their one season together at Ohio State in 2019.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6j\">While every coach is different and there&#8217;s no way to tell for certain what kind of defensive coordinator Duggan will become for the Dolphins, we decided to look back at every DC hire the team has made since they joined the NFL in 1970 as a point of reference.<\/p>\n<p>DOLPHINS DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR HISTORY2024-25 \u2014\u00a0Anthony Weaver<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-5\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6s\">Previous resume: Joined the Dolphins after spending two seasons as Baltimore Ravens assistant head coach\/defensive line coach &#8230; Had an eight-year NFL playing career and had coached for four other teams, including one season as defensive coordinator for the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6v\">Results: The Dolphins went from 10th in total defense to fourth in Weaver&#8217;s first season, though the takeaways dropped from 27 to 16.
