He’s one of the best centers in football, and this would be a slam-dunk signing for Big Blue’s new era.”

A report from SNY’s Connor Hughes said that Giants head coach John Harbaugh would be targeting some of his former players in free agency, and he specifically mentioned Linderbaum as a possible target.

Knowing that, it’s possible this prediction comes to fruition.

Granted, the Giants do have a starting center on the roster already in John Michael Schmitz, but he is simply not the caliber of player the three-time Pro Bowler is.

If the Giants were to sign Linderbaum, they could either choose to move Schmitz to guard or trade him. The former move is more likely, but with Schmitz entering the final year of his deal, the latter could happen, also.

But the Ravens are likely going to try hard to re-sign Linderbaum, who is one of the better centers in the NFL. And, there’s a chance he won’t even hit the open market if the Ravens slap the franchise tag on Linderbaum, which is possible.

If Linderbaum does make it to free agency, we’d expect the Giants to be one of his many suitors.

More NFL news

The New York Giants need to keep building up the offensive line in front of quarterback Jaxson Dart.…

[2067
7,519,1917,56,2321,2469,6
0":"post-723337","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-york-giants","8":"tag-football","9":"tag-giants","10":"tag-new-york","11":"tag-new-york-giants","12":"tag-newyork","13":"tag-newyorkgiants","14":"tag-nfl
["GET
