ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – Texas UIL has released the new district and classification realignments for the 2026-28 school years and seasons.<\/p>\n

Here are the new districts:<\/p>\n

6A District 2:<\/p>\n

Midland, Midland Lee, Odessa, Permian, San Angelo Central<\/p>\n

– Wolfforth Frenship moves down to 5A Div. 1.<\/p>\n

4A Division 1 District 3:<\/p>\n

Andrews, Greenwood, Plainview, San Angelo Lake View<\/p>\n

– Greenwood moves to Div. 1 from Div. 2, Big Spring and Pecos leave the district and take Greenwood\u2019s place in Div. 2, Plainview joins the district.<\/p>\n

4A Division 2 District 2: <\/p>\n

Big Spring, Fort Stockton, Monahans, Pecos, Seminole, Snyder<\/p>\n

– Big Spring and Pecos move to Div. 2 from Div. 1, taking Greenwood\u2019s place in this same district.<\/p>\n

3A Division 1 District 2:<\/p>\n

Clyde, Kermit, Lamesa, Odessa Compass, Sweetwater, Tuscola Jim Ned<\/p>\n

– Compass moves to Div. 1 from Div. 2, District becomes six teams– was four teams last realignment.<\/p>\n

3A Division 2 District 3:<\/p>\n

Alpine, Anthony, Coahoma, Crane, San Angelo Grape Creek, Stanton<\/p>\n

– Four-team district of Alpine, Anthony, Crane and Odessa Compass becomes a six-team district, losing Compass. Coahoma, Grape Creek and Stanton join. Compass moves up to Div. 1 from Div. 2.<\/p>\n

2A Division 1 District 4:<\/p>\n

Ballinger, Big Lake Reagan County, Christoval, Colorado City, Forsan, Ozona, Sonora<\/p>\n

– District 3 from the last realignment adds Ballinger from District 5, stays the same otherwise.<\/p>\n

2A Division 2 District 3:<\/p>\n

Crosbyton, Lockney, Pathway Academy, Ralls, Tahoka, Roscoe Collegiate<\/p>\n

– Pathway Academy is a new school in Big Spring, TX. It joins Classification 2A.<\/p>\n

2A Division 2 District 4:<\/p>\n

Eldorado, Iraan, McCamey, Van Horn, Wink<\/p>\n

– The district loses Sterling City, but stays the same otherwise.<\/p>\n

1A\/6-Man Division 1 District 6:<\/p>\n

Fort Hancock, Garden City, Imperial Buena Vista, Lenorah Grady, Rankin<\/p>\n

– All teams, except Fort Hancock, were in District 4 in the last realignment. The district loses Marfa to Div. 2 and becomes District 6.<\/p>\n

1A\/6-Man Division 2 District 5: <\/p>\n

Dell City, Fort Davis, Marfa, Sierra Blanca<\/p>\n

– Marfa moves to Div. 2 from Div. 1. District 5 from the last realignment splits up, leaving Fort Davis and Sierra Blanca, most move to District 6.<\/p>\n

1A\/6-Man Division 2 District 6:<\/p>\n

Balmorhea, Grandfalls-Royalty, Rocksprings, Sanderson<\/p>\n

– Balmorhea, Grandfalls-Royalty and Sanderson all moved together from District 5 in the last realignment.<\/p>\n
