Seattle Seahawks<\/a> linebacker Ernest Jones IV had himself a lectern during Super Bowl LX’s Opening Night on Monday. And per Kassidy Hill of Panthers<\/a>.com, Jones had quite the praise for cornerback (and fellow Gamecock) Jaycee Horn . . .<\/p>\n

“Jaycee has been the best corner in football, in my opinion, since he got there,” Jones stated, via Hill<\/a>. “Injuries have derailed him, but when Jaycee is healthy, he’s a bad man.”<\/p>\n

That man and this man were teammates at the University of South Carolina from 2018 to 2020. Both would also enter the NFL together through the 2021 draft, with Horn as the eighth overall pick and Jones as a third-round selection of the Tennessee Titans<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As Jones alluded to, Horn had been slowed by a handful of injuries early on in his pro career\u2014as he was sidelined in 29 of a possible 51 games over his first three campaigns. But he’s bounced back over the last two seasons, missing only three games since 2024 and even amassing a career-high five interceptions in 2025.<\/p>\n

While Jones preps in for his first Super Bowl in Santa Clara, Horn is over in San Francisco for the 2026 Pro Bowl Games. This appearance marks Horn’s second consecutive trip<\/a> to the league’s all-star festivities.<\/p>\n
