The Arizona Cardinals<\/a> and new head coach Mike LaFleur appear to have zeroed in on their new special teams coordinator. According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan<\/a>, former New York Giants<\/a> special teams coach Michael Ghobrial is expected to be the Cardinals’ new special teams coordinator.<\/p>\n Ghobrial has worked with LaFleur. He was the assistant special teams coach for the New York Jets from 2021-2023. LaFleur was the Jets’ offensive coordinator in 2021-2022.<\/p>\n After his three seasons with the Jets, he was the Giants’ special teams coordinator for two seasons under head coach Brian Daboll.<\/p>\n All his other coaching history, beginning in 2009, was in college, except for 2017, when he was on the Detroit Lions’ coaching staff under the Bill Walsh diversity coaching fellowship.<\/p>\n LaFleur will be introduced to the media on Tuesday.<\/p>\n Need a news break?
