It didn’t take long for Joe Lombardi to land on his feet.<\/p>\n
After being fired by the Denver Broncos<\/a> last week, Lombardi is joining the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> as a “senior offensive assistant,” according to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec<\/a>. He will now work under new Baltimore head coach Jesse Minter<\/a>.<\/p>\n Lombardi already has some familiarity with the Ravens<\/a>‘ staff \u2014 new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle coached alongside Lombardi with the New Orleans Saints<\/a> (2019-2020) and again in Denver (2023-2024). Both coaches worked under Sean Payton in New Orleans and later followed him to the Broncos<\/a>.<\/p>\n After firing Lombardi, Payton promoted offensive pass game coordinator\/quarterbacks coach Davis Webb to offensive coordinator<\/a>. To replace Webb’s old role, offensive quality control coach Logan Kilgore was promoted<\/a> to quarterbacks coach.<\/p>\n Lombardi, 54, has been coaching at the pro level since 2006. Baltimore will mark his sixth team in the NFL, and his 11th gig as a coach.<\/p>\n Need a news break?
