Steelers Correspondent of The Pat McAfee Show Mark Kaboly reported on Tuesday night that the Steelers are close to agreeing on a deal to make the Minnesota Vikings\u2019 passing game coordinator and tight ends coach Brian Angelichio their next offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n
Angelichio has been with Minnesota since 2022 and has coached in the NFL since 2012. Similar to many of the hires McCarthy and the Steelers have made in building their staff, Angelichio is no stranger to working with the Steelers\u2019 new head coach. From 2016 to 2018, Angelichio served as the tight ends coach for the Green Bay Packers with McCarthy.<\/p>\n
Just yesterday, Kaboly reported that the Steelers would be interviewing Angelichio and that he was a serious contender for the job.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Steelers will now pivot to Minnesota passing game coordinator\/tight ends coach and Vikings\u2019 head coach Kevin O\u2019Connell\u2019s right-hand man, Brian Angelichio, for an interview at some point over the next few days, according to sources.\u201d<\/p>\n
