The New York Jets<\/a> and head coach Aaron Glenn found their new offensive coordinator<\/a> on Wednesday, as the franchise hired Frank Reich to lead the offense after firing Tanner Engstrand last week.<\/a><\/p>\n

Reich has a ton of coaching experience under his belt, including as a head coach and coordinator. He’s best known for his tenure with the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>, where he led the team to a 40-33 record in four and a half seasons with a playoff win.<\/p>\n

During his time in Indianapolis, Reich coached quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is currently with the Arizona Cardinals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, with Reich now in New York as the offensive coordinator, SNY’s Connor Hughes<\/a> believes Brissett is now a trade target for the Jets this offseason to address the quarterback position.<\/p>\n

“Brissett, 33, is a potential trade target. He went 7-8 as a starter for Reich in 2019, throwing for 2,942 yards with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has one year left on his contract with the Cardinals,” Hughes wrote.<\/p>\n

Brissett has a plethora of starting experience throughout his 10-year career. The veteran started 12 games for the Arizona Cardinals in 2025, tossing 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions, though he also posted a 1-11 record.<\/p>\n

Though Brissett isn’t a winning starter in the NFL and is far from a franchise signal-caller, he would be a solid backup for the Jets who could step in if needed.<\/p>\n

Additionally, his experience with Reich would make him a valuable member of New York’s quarterback room and a fantastic mentor for a potential rookie quarterback.<\/p>\n

If Arizona is willing to trade Brissett, the Jets should give up a late Day 3 pick for the Super Bowl LI champion and add some experience to the quarterback room.<\/p>\n
